Bryan Thomas Clark is a boisterous extravert who is a proud member of the LGBT community. After twenty-seven years in law enforcement, he retired in 2015. Behind his keyboard working on his next novel, Bryan writes gay fiction with an emphasis on a moral dilemmas and M/M romance.
On the rare occasions he isn’t writing, Bryan enjoys traveling, following his husband around the state of California to various equestrian competitions, lying by a body of water soaking up the sun, and watching a good movie while snuggled up with his husband and dog on the couch.
Bryan’s love for poetry came from Maya Angelou, Iyanla Vanzant, and yes even Jewel. In reading their poetry he saw the raw and exposed elements which come from love, pain, and fear. As a very private person, letting someone into his most vulnerable space without concern of judgment or embarrassment could have never happened without them showing him the way.
Over the years Bryan wrote and created, always for fun and as a creative outlet. Bryan never gave any consideration that anyone would read his work, let alone did he consider publishing any of it. It wasn’t until one summer night, Bryan let his husband, an avid reader himself, read some of his work. To Bryan’s surprise his husband thought it was good. Bryan recalls his exact words were ‘Oh my God, this is really good.” Well of course Bryan was thinking “you’re my husband you’re supposed to say that”. Days later Bryan’s husband approached him again stating that he couldn’t stop thinking about what he had read. He added that he thought Bryan should consider publishing it.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Bryan now resides in the Central Valley of California.
